Accessibility Statement

Last updated June 24, 2026

Commitment

Dream Maker Children's Museum wants every visitor to be able to learn about the project, explore the museum vision, and find ways to support the campaign. Accessibility is part of that work.

Standard We Aim For

This website is designed with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 in mind, with the practical goal of meeting WCAG Level AA where feasible for this static site.

Accessibility Features

  • A skip link appears for keyboard users.
  • Navigation and buttons are operable with a keyboard.
  • Visible focus styles are included for interactive elements.
  • Meaningful images include alternative text.
  • Pages use semantic headings, landmarks, and links.
  • Text is designed to reflow across mobile, tablet, and desktop screen sizes.
  • Motion is reduced for visitors who request reduced motion in their device settings.
  • Color is not used as the only way to understand key information.

Known Limitations

Some linked third-party services, including OneCause and Facebook, are outside our direct control. Their accessibility support is governed by their own platforms.

Historic images, screenshots, PDFs, documents, social media content, and future campaign materials may need additional review or alternative formats before public launch.

Ongoing Work

Accessibility will be reviewed as the site changes. Future work may include additional manual screen reader testing, keyboard testing across more browsers, improved captions or transcripts if video is added, and accessible versions of any downloadable documents.

Feedback and Assistance

If you have trouble using this website or need information in another format, email info@dreammakercm.org.

Please include the page address, a brief description of the issue, the assistive technology or browser you are using if relevant, and the best way to contact you.

Response Goal

We will review accessibility feedback and make reasonable updates as project resources allow. Urgent access barriers should be sent by email so the team can respond directly.
